More On Katrina

I recommend reading today's Mises.org article. We've all probably heard plenty about how the government mismanaged their handling of the relief efforts and, as I mentioned in my own article, how they denied private parties permission to help. This article gives a unique perspective on the so-called "government failure" to respond to the crisis in an appropriate manner. William Anderson defends the government as having acted exactly in accordance with its nature and therefore exactly as we should have expected it to act, but he does so in a different way than you might expect.
