The Costs Of War

I just came across an interesting site that has created a counter that gives a running total of the cost of the Bush administration's Iraq debacle. The site is http://costofwar.com I've embedded the counter in the sidebar of my site as you can see. If you visit costofwar.com you can break the cost out by state, county and city to see how much it is costing your community. You can also compare the cost of the war with how much it would cost to provide other government services such as education and health care. It caused me to reflect again on the mind boggling amount of wealth our government consumes in the course of its destructive policies.
